When selecting ASTM A106 GRB seamless steel pipes, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the three core parameters: temperature, pressure and wall thickness.

Temperature: This type of pipe is suitable for service environments ranging from -29℃ to 425℃. Beyond this range, the material's performance degradation needs to be evaluated. At high temperatures, creep and oxidation resistance need to be considered.

Pressure: The design pressure determines the pipe's pressure-bearing capacity. According to ASME B31.1 or B31.3 and other specifications, combined with the working pressure, the minimum wall thickness should be determined.

Wall Thickness Calculation: The commonly used formula is t = PD / (2SE + PY), where P is the design pressure, D is the outer diameter, S is the allowable stress, E is the weld coefficient, and Y is the temperature coefficient. After calculation, a corrosion allowance should be added and rounded to the standard Schedule wall thickness.
