The heat treatment technology of 304 stainless steel pipe is generally divided into three processes: heating, heat preservation and cooling, but in some cases only heating and cooling are required, and heat preservation treatment is not required. Others pay attention to the interconnectedness of these processes and that there can be no continuum. Heating is an extremely important process in the heat treatment technology of 304 stainless steel pipes.

There are various heating methods for heat treatment technology of 304 stainless steel pipe. In the earliest beginnings, coal was used as a heat source, and later liquid and gaseous fuels were used as heat sources. Electric heating has the advantages of no pollution and convenient operation. Use these heat sources to heat 304 stainless steel tubing. During the heating process, do not let the 304 stainless steel pipe leak directly into the air, which will cause surface oxidation or decarburization. It should be heated in controlled or protected air or in a vacuum environment.

After heating to a certain temperature, a high temperature arrangement will be obtained, but the transformation during this period takes a certain time, so after reaching this temperature, it is necessary to keep the 304 stainless steel tube at this temperature for a certain period of time to keep the internal and external temperatures consistent. In this way, the microscopic arrangement and conversion are completed, and this period of time is called the holding time. This is an integral cooling process. The cooling method should vary according to different technologies. Correctly speaking, the cooling rate needs to be controlled. Generally, the cooling rate of annealing will be slower. The speed of fire is relatively fast, and the fastest method is to quench 304 stainless steel pipe. However, different cooling should be carried out according to different heat treatment processes.
