Key points to avoid in inappropriate conditions: strong oxidizing acids such as nitric acid and nitrous acid will rapidly corrode nickel-copper alloys; media containing oxidizing impurities (such as iron ions, chromates, peroxides) may damage the protective film and cause pitting corrosion. In addition, wet hydrogen fluoride vapor in an atmosphere near the yield strength may cause stress corrosion cracking under stress. When designing the pump shaft, the working stress level should be controlled.
